Offshore and Deep Sea Fishing On Our 33' Contender

Whether you are interested in an offshore fishing experience or a day of fishing the inshore waters around Charleston, Yates Sea Charters has a fishing vessel to accommodate either one. Enjoy a day fishing for near-shore and offshore species aboard Yates Sea Charters’ 33-foot Contender.

Our 2005 center-console gets you to your fishing destination quickly and comfortably allowing for less travel time and more fishing. This roomy vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and a booming stereo system. And of course we provide U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment.

Yates Sea Charters also provides inshore charters aboard our 23-foot Ranger bay boat. This vessel can accommodate up to six anglers and provides a comfortable day of fishing. Our bay boat is versatile allowing charters to sightsee and fish for sheephead, red fish, trout, flounder, and ladyfish just to name a few.

We specialize in light-tackle fishing and use top-notch equipment including Shimano reels paired with custom rods. We provide heavier tackle for our offshore excursions to ensure that our anglers have the tools they need to conquer larger fish. Offshore species may include tuna, dolphin, wahoo, sailfish, and white and blue marlin.

Captain Dave Yates is one of the most experienced anglers in South Carolina. Fiercely competitive, Capt. Yates has won many inshore and offshore tournaments and is an active participant in the Southern Kingfish Association (SKA). Professional and personal, Capt. Yates has more than 30 years of experience and attributes much of what he knows from his father, a legendary trout fisherman in the Charleston area.

Whether you want to fish offshore or inshore, we can accommodate your fishing experience.
